Review:

Great technician but poor company policy. Sam, the technician was excellent, he was helpful and communicated well. I do feel that the policy of requiring a $50 service charge before getting a quote is not a good business practice. If a customer wants to get a second opinion this policy makes that very hard as they then have to lose the service fee. In my case, I did want a second opinion and Sam did waive the service fee after I asked which was good customer service. Also, I noticed that there was company "policy" that forced me into more expensive repairs.

I would like to thank you for the great review of our technician Sam. We have a compressive training program including hiring an outside training company to make sure that our technicians represent us in the very best manor. We also send each technician to every job with a fully stocked truck so that they can solve 98% of the garage door problems our customers encounter and we generally do that in just one trip. We do charge a modest service fee that we disclose before setting each appointment. We also give the technicians the authority to wave this modest  fee if there were any sort of  customer confusion about the the customer having agreed to this fee before booking their appointment with us. This is exactly what Sam did in your case. We do wish you the best of luck in getting your garage door repaired.

In the past your service has been very good. However the service I received today was not very good. First off the scheduling was very confusing. Three times I got a verbal time you would be here and three times a text confirming my appointment was different. Today I had a 12 to 2 appointment the technician arrived at 10 and I got a notice the technician was on his way at 10:43. I explained the problem to the technician that during most of the year the sun blinds the safety lights and won’t allow the door to close. He said that if it happens again to let precision door know and he would move the lights back from the door. That is what I wanted this visit as I explained to the lady that answered the phone.

Dear Patrick, Jason came out and replaced two broken springs on my home garage door. He did not an excellent job I have nothing bad to say about him. I do have a real problem with the cost of two springs. This is your standard double door aluminum 18x7. I went in Lowe’s website and there most experience spring is $231.21 for a pair. Yours were $468.00. If this is correct please let me know so I can adjust my recommendations from very good to very expense. Thank you for asking I hope to hear from you John Lindsey

Dear Patrick, I appreciate the opportunity to provide feedback. First, all employees have been very courteous and professional. I first knew of your company when I requested an evaluation of the garage door when performing a pre-purchase home inspection. I am curious if the information provided to me after a purchase service call was also provided to the seller. Appears the door and opening mechanism is a "safety issue". The motor is failing which is the actual cause of the remote and wall switch working randomly. Upon assessment, it is recommended that the door be replaced which would include the motor and other items. This is substantial expense that I will now have to incur. I would like the opportunity to discuss this further with you at your convenience. Best Regards, Brenda Lee 903-707-6490

Review:

The pushy tech and his multiple scare tactics about the state of my door was a bit much. He was informed multiple that all he needed to do was fix the door and no I was not replacing the whole system as even the 12 year old opener was to small. He quoted himself several times as the garage door man. His work is completely satisfactory but he 100% cost you a door and operator when I do replace it.

Still awaiting my receipt for payment of work done. Earliest appointment was 48 hours from time of call for service. Your repairman was on time and worked efficiently to replace the broken garage door springs. He ensured the job was done to my satisfaction. I found it a little surprising that the company could not give me an estimate of cost if the spring was the only problem. I rate the repairman a 4 or 5. The overall experience was a three due to receipt and response.

While I would love to give more stars we were not impressed with the service we received! Justin was super nice and seemed knowledgeable but I felt that he was more interested in selling us new doors vs fixing our current one! We can now shut our door but he did not fix the door for us to use it with the opener and we were charged way more then what we thought it would be. We did ask when we called the service center about how much it would cost and they said around $100. We paid $250 +….We had no cables broken, it was off track and the door was torqued but nothing snapped to be replaced. He did replace one of the rollers (but the old one wasn’t broken either) so still confused why the fix of the door was so expensive and it’s not fixed! He really is a great salesman but with a 20 min (possibly less) fix, $250+ is a little crazy on cost of service! Justin was nice I don’t want that to go unnoticed but the cost of the service call was enough for us to think about looking elsewhere for future service and possible purchase of garage doors

Ashley , Thank you for taking the time to leave us feedback , as that is the only way that we can continue to grow into providing the best customer service available. We would also like to thank you for allowing us to meet with you in person to discuss your experience and reevaluate your visit. Your time is valuable, and truly appreciated.

Comment from: Ashley Herrington

I can honestly say that I was blown away with the customer service that we received. I got a phone call on Sunday after I posted this. They asked for a time to come up and take a look at the door. The director of operations and the lead tech came out to take a look at things. They also admitted to making a mistake and charging us for the wrong size door. When they came to our house this Wednesday they went over the problem and the fixes that were available. They arrived at 4:45 pm and did not leave until well after 7:30. They made sure the door was able to work but we knew due to the original damage we would have to spend some money fixing things. They also looked at our bigger door and showed us how horrible our builders contractor did on the install (a little over 2 years ago) and the same issues would need to be fixed. We didn’t want to purchase new garage doors and they didn’t suggest that. The came up with the best way to fix our current door. We will wait another week for the rest of the stuff ordered to come in but I can honestly say my husband and I were both happy with how they handled things the second time around and will be even more happy when we don’t have to worry about our doors anymore! I am so glad I was willing to give them a chance to make things right because they did just that! Thank you Lee bad Steve we appreciate you both!

As a Fayettville resident, I would recommend the servicing, safety and quality. However, when I called to request service I asked what the possibility of the charge would be after describing my issue, not realizing that there were factors that weren't considered in the 'quote'.. No more than $200 was advised when scheduling the service however the tech who I thourghly believe was honest and forthcoming about the status of my garage's current aging condition, indicated a possible $1000 bill was the clear and obvious reality. I hope the quoting process can be addressed but the tech was refreshing to the experience for a safer peice of mind when resolving a pre-existing issue not discovered in our prior home inspection.

On the phone, we were told there was a $49.95 fee for the technician to come to my house on a Sunday. Then she told me that worst case scenario the springs would be $158. We needed 1 spring. However, if we had replaced BOTH springs, that total would have been $158 +$158+$49.95. My math shows that as $365.95. The technician quoted us a minimum of $510. We still have a broken door and we are out $49.95 for nothing. I understand the weekend service call but I don’t quite understand the difference in price. He told us he could “patch” our garage until a new door came in but wouldn’t even do that when we declined to over pay for almost $1000 for a new door. Also, prior to the tech visit, we priced other places for a brand new garage door and received a quote of $1400 INSTALLED and his lowest price quoted to us was approx $2400. Thanks for the weekend service call but we will go another route.
